I don't know where I have been but I just realized that not only does Home Depot carry furniture but they have hundreds of vintage and mid-century modern pieces. It really is the little things in life because I am so excited by this news. Today I wanted to gather the top 10 couches for a mid-century modern living room.

My Sons Retro Toddler Bedroom

For anybody who knows me personally knows that I am obsessed with all things retro and vintage right down to home decor. I couldn't wait to get my hands on my sons bedroom! I searched high and low for some of these items and had it stuck in my head that I NEEDED some of them. There isn't a photograph but Little Golden Books are such a classic and is a a childhood memory for most. I have a ton of those books. I have even gotten them cheap from Savers and cut out pictures for wall art.

I am a HUGE Disney fan in general but the retro Disneyland stuff I absolutely adore. So I purchased these 6 Disneyland advertisements. Each one showcases a certain rides. It's a small world, jungle cruise, the people mover, Frontierland, Tomorrowland and opening day, July 27, 1955. Also sponsors such as Bank of America, United Airlines and Goodyear.

The Partridge Family Bus! I found this on ebay like new. My son is pretty wild with his car collection so its seen better days. Hotwheels had also come out with limited addition Beatles vehicles. I was able to grab the yellow submarine :)

My son has a pretty awesome vinyl collection. These are original Beatles records given to him by my aunt. I love that they are both vintage and from family. It makes it more special.

Yes he has his own record player. Lucky little boy! Complete with a Monkees decal (we are working on that collection)

Hey hey we're The Monkees! I love love love these little prints. I found a 24 pack on ETSY and put them in some bright frames to go with the bedroom color scheme.

Tinkertoys are a MUST. These are not original but still are still a classic. Lincoln Logs are another popular 1950s toy that I need to add to my collection soon.

Ok this was one of those pieces I HAD to have. This is a replica of a Disneyland map from 1962. I love the map key with all the names of the rides, shops or food stands that don't exist anymore.

Most of my sons vinyl comes from Savers. I love looking through their inventory. They are constantly getting new stuff and there are some hidden gems in those stacks for only $1.99! Some are pretty beat up but because they are original and for a 3 year old I purchase them anyway. Craft stores have frames specific for records so if the record is skipping or warped you can still use the album cover as wall art in your little ones room.

Totally has nothing to do with bedroom decor BUT even my sons vitamins are a throwback! We love the Flinstones and watch it every night.

There is a lot of inspiration out there to grow your collection. Yard sales, flea markets, family members, church holiday bazaars, Savers and online are all great places to keep a look out.
